第二回The Japan- US Science Forum in Boston開催のお知らせ（2017年11月18日）

日本学術振興会ワシントン研究連絡センター及び当館共催、ハーバード大学ライシャワー日本研究所、Branchfood及び海外日本人研究者ネットワーク（UJA）後援の第二回「The Japan-US Science Forum in Boston」を開催いたします。

昨年は「我が国が直面する超高齢化社会について」をテーマに実施しましたが、本年は「食」をテーマとして、ハーバード大学ライシャワー日本研究所のセオドール・ベスター所長、MITメディアラボの石井裕副所長等の日米の第一線で活躍する専門家の方々を講演者に招き、今日グローバルな課題となりつつある食糧供給問題や食の安全といった議題についての講演とパネル・ディスカッションを行います。

本フォーラムを通じて、自然科学、社会科学等の様々な分野の日本人研究者と米国の研究者の交流促進を図り、日米関係を強化することを目的としています。フォーラムと共にポスター・セッションと優秀なポスターへの表彰が予定されています。
