Consul General Takahashi’s Visit to Boston Children’s Museum (March 6, 2025)

On March 6, 2025, Consul General Takahashi visited Boston Children’s Museum and enjoyed the traditional Kyoto townhouse (Machiya) in the Museum.
This townhouse was a gift from Kyoto to Boston to commemorate the 20th anniversary of sister city relationship in 1979. The house was originally used as a home for a family in Kyoto until 1970’s and visitors of the Museum can enter into the house and learn the life and culture of Japanese people at the time in Kyoto.
