Documentation

Please note:
○ The Consulate declines incomplete documents; additional documents may be requested during the course of application/examination.
○ Do NOT staple your application.
○ The Consulate will not make copies.
○ The letters and certificates must be original with hand written signatures. Electronic signatures are not acceptable.
 

Each applicant for a Mutiple Visit Visa for individuals with sufficient financial capability must submit the following basic documents.

 
1 India ○ The documents from No.1 to No.5. listed in "Documentation for Temporary Visitor Visa"
All applicable nationality
(other than India)		 ○ The documents from No.1 to No.5. listed in "Documentation for Temporary Visitor Visa"
(○ A certificate of employment which states the following:)(If you work at an enterprise)
- your salary
- your position
- start date of your employment  
○ A letter stating the reason of application for a multiple visit visa (including the intended length of stay in Japan)
 
2 Those who earn an income in the U.S. ○ The latest filed tax return (Form 1040)

AND

○ Bank statements* for the last six months
(*We can only accept bank statements in US dollars.)
 
Those who are not U.S. tax residents ○ Bank statements* for the last twelve months
(*We can only accept bank statements in US dollars.)
 
 
3 All applicable nationality ○ Additional documents may be requested during the course of application/examination as it is impossible to specify the exact form the evidence should take since applicants' circumstances vary greatly.
