Urasenke Tanko-kai Boston Association 60th Anniversary Event

Uranseke Tanko-kai Boston Association celebrated its 60^th Anniversary on Oct. 12 and 13, 2019.  Consul General and Mrs. Ohmori were invited the “chaseki”-tea ceremony- and memorial ceremony on Oct. 12.  At the memorial ceremony, Consul General Ohmori received the letter of appointment of honorary advisor of Urasenke Boston from Dr. Reijiro Izumi of Urasenke Kyoto.     On Oct. 13, the lecture “The Culture of Tea in Japan” by Dr. Izumi and a demonstration were held at Harvard University.    Many attendees learned about and enjoyed the Tea culture and the demonstration.
