2017 Spring Conferment of Decorations of Foreign Nationals

The Government of Japan has decided to confer decorations on 105 foreign nationals on April 29．In New England, Mr. Spencer W. Viner, president of Japan America Society in Rhode Island, received The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette for his contribution to promoting mutual understanding between Japan and the United States. The commendation ceremony will be held at Blackship Festival in Newport, RI in July.
