Foreign Minister’s Commendations　ceremony for Mr. Glenn Sorei Pereira

An award ceremony for Mr. Glenn Sorei Pereira, Chado Urasenke instructor, was held on October 2, 2017 at the Consul General’s residence. Many people, including Consul General and Mrs. Michii, gathered to celebrate the presentation of the 2017 Foreign Minister Commendation Award to Mr. Pereira. After Mr. Pereira’s tea ceremony demonstration, all the guests enjoyed green tea as well as Mr. Pereira’s hand-made sweets. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this commendation in July for Mr. Pereira’s contribution in promoting Japanese culture in the U.S. and furthering of friendship understanding between Japan and other countries. https://www.boston.us.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/fmc2017.html
