Reception on JS Kashima and JS Harusame (July 14, 2017)

On the 14th of July, a reception was held to commemorate the visit of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Training Squadron (JMSDF). The reception began with opening remarks by Rear Admiral Koji Manabe and Consul General Michii, followed by Kagami-Biraki (the opening of a cask of Sake) by the attendants including Mr. Winthrop, the mayor of Newport and Mr. Fukui, the mayor of Shimoda-City. A number of guests celebrated and enjoyed the moment of good exchange.
