Fukushima Youth Symphonietta visits Governer Baker
Members of the Fukushima Youth Symphonietta visited Governor Baker on March 29, 2016. The governor presented them with a Governor’s Citation in recognition of the bravery of these young musicians from the public schools of Fukushima City, who reached out to visiting European musicians for aid and guidance in establishing the Fukushima Youth Symphonietta in 2011. Representatives Kaufman and Orral joined the ceremony. The Fukushima Youth Symphonietta will play with other orchestras in Massachusetts; their own concert will be held at the Symphony Hall on April 3rd.
