The Newport Black Ships Festival was held in Newport, RI from the 14th to the 16th of July 2017. “The Arts and Crafts Fair” on 15th at Tuoro Park featured workshop and booths, such as the Kite-making workshop by Shimoda delegation, Introduction of Japan by Classical High School, and Water Balloon Fishing and Kendama workshop by Consulate General of Japan in Boston. The guests also enjoyed a musical performance by the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force band and Taiko group.
