CG Remarks

On October 15, Consul General Takahashi attended the Gala Dinner of Boston Higashi School and presented a Commendation to the Boston Higashi School in recognition of its significant contributions to promoting friendly relations between Japan and New England, as well as between Japan and the United States.

Since its establishment in 1987, the Boston Higashi School has pioneered special education through "Daily Life Therapy®," a holistic approach originally developed by Dr. Kiyo Kitahara. This innovative, made-in-Japan methodology has earned a stellar global reputation, drawing students from across the United States and around the world.

Executive Director Michael Kelly of the Boston Higashi School expressed his gratitude for the award and shared his determination  to continue contributing to the further development of Japan-New England relations through education and cultural exchange.
