Consul General Takahashi’s Visit to Hartford Summer Festival (June 13, 2026)

On June 13, Consul General Takahashi attended the Hartford Summer Festival in West Hartford, Connecticut, and delivered remarks.
Many visitors enjoyed Japanese cultural performances such as Shishimai (lion dance), koto music, Soran-Bushi (a style of Japanese festival dance) and Bon Odori (traditional Japanese dance). In addition, Ms. Yurie Karikomi, a Researcher in the Science and Technology Division of the Consulate, gave a calligraphy performance and held an interactive calligraphy workshop.
