Cultural Evening “Nihonga” (May 29, 2026)

On May 29, the Consulate-General of Japan in Boston invited Japanese-style painter Mr. Angus Schaefer as a lecturer and held a Cultural Evening event on "Nihonga." Mr. Schaefer explained the profound history and traditions of Nihonga, or Japanese-style painting, to approximately 20 participants, showcasing his own works and the materials and tools used in their creation. The participants listened intently to Mr. Schaefer’s presentation and appeared deeply captivated by the world of Nihonga.
