DCG Maeda delivers remarks at the Japanese learning community party held at Showa Boston Institute (May 30, 2026)

On May 30, Deputy Consul General Maeda attended the 6th Annual Japanese Learning Community Event "Re:", hosted by Showa Boston Institute.
This event brought together Japanese language learners and Japanese culture enthusiasts from the New England region. Participants enjoyed a variety of traditional Japanese cultural experiences, including tea ceremony, calligraphy, and yukata try-out.
During the event, DCG Maeda emphasized the importance of learning Japanese and the significant role of cultural exchange in promoting mutual understanding between Japan and the United States.
The Consulate General also set up an exhibition booth to promote the JET Program.
