Consul General Takahashi Hosts Reception for Japan Scholars in the New England area (May 27, 2026)

On May 27th, Consul General Seiichiro Takahashi hosted a reception at the Consul General’s residence for scholars in the New England area engaged in Japan-related research, participants of the associates of Program on US-Japan Relations at Harvard as well as Kennedy School Japan Trek.
Over 40 guests attended the event, representing institutions such as Boston University, Brandeis University, Central Connecticut State University, Harvard University, MIT, University of Massachusetts Boston, Wesleyan University, Yale University, Colby College, Smith College, Wellesley College, and Showa Boston Institute. Hiroyuki Kojima, Director General of the Japan Foundation, New York, also participated and spoke about support for Japanese studies.
Following last year, the gathering provided a valuable opportunity for local Japan scholars to connect each other and deepen their exchanges.
