Reception with Former Minister Takemi and Participants of the Takemi Program at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

On May 12, Consul General Takahashi hosted a reception in conjunction with the visit to Boston of former Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Mr. Keizo Takemi, to mark the completion of the Takemi Program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Participants and affiliates of the program were invited to the event.
Approximately 40 guests attended the reception, including researchers and business professionals active in the region. Former Minister Takemi and Professor Bruce A. Chabner of Harvard Medical School delivered remarks congratulating the completion of the Takemi Program. They also highlighted the importance of promoting pharmaceutical innovation through international collaboration, including efforts led by the Japan International Drug Discovery Ecosystem Association. The reception provided an opportunity for lively networking among participants.
The Consulate-General of Japan in Boston will continue to build upon the J-NEXUS platform and work closely with relevant stakeholders to further strengthen and enrich Japan–U.S. relations in the region, fostering a resilient, creative, and enduring partnership.
