Visit of Middle School Students of Nagaokakyo City Delegation (April 30, 2026)

On April 30, Consul General Takahashi welcomed middle school students from the City of Nagaokakyo, Kyoto. Nagaokakyo is a sister city of Arlington, MA, and a student delegation from Nagaokakyo visits the town every year for a homestay program.
During his remarks, Consul General Takahashi noted that he had also participated in his own town’s high school sister-city delegation, and that the experience during the visit helped shape his future as a diplomat. He also expressed his hope that the students would become bridges between Japan and the U.S. in the future, taking advantage of this opportunity.
