Deputy Consul General Minoya’s attendance at the Cherry Blossom Celebration held at the Arnold Arboretum (April 18, 2026)

On April 18, Deputy Consul General Suguru Minoya attended the Cherry Blossom Celebration held at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University.
The arboretum preserves and cultivates more than 20 varieties of cherry trees collected from Japan. Deputy Consul General Minoya viewed the cherry trees in full bloom and observed performances of Soran Bushi by the Showa Boston Institute and Japanese taiko drumming by Odaiko New England at the event.
He also received an explanation about the arboretum’s cherry trees from Mr. Miles Sax, the arboretum curator.
