Reception Hosted for Japanese-Americans (April 7, 2026)

On April 7th, Consul General Takahashi invited Japanese-Americans residing in New England to the Consul General’s official residence and hosted a reception.
At the reception, participants included Massachusetts State Representative Erika Uyterhoeven, State Representative Amy Mah Sangiolo, Chris Tanaka, anchor of “WBZ News Mornings,” as well as individuals active in various fields, members of the “New England Kenjinkai” including its representative, Professor Susan Miyo Asai, participants in the Japanese American Leadership Delegation(JALD) Program, and many members of the younger generation who will lead the next generation. Participants deepened exchanges in a friendly atmosphere while enjoying Japanese cuisine.
The Consulate, with a view to developing Japan–U.S. relations in the region into a strong, prosperous, and resilient and creative enduring partnership, intends to continue to cooperate with the Japanese-American community.
