Consul General Takahashi exchanges views with Ms. Yuriko Gamo Romer, director of the documentary film "Diamond Diplomacy" (March 6, 2026)

 On March 6, Consul General Takahashi met with Ms. Yuriko Gamo Romer, director of the documentary film "Diamond Diplomacy," which focuses on Japan-U.S. exchange through baseball, and exchanged views with her. During the meeting, Consul General Takahashi highlighted New England’s role in the history of Japan-U.S. baseball exchange, noting that Horace Wilson—the American who first introduced baseball to Japan—was from Gorham, Maine. Consul General Takahashi and Director Gamo Romer also agreed to cooperate in the future.
