On February 26, Consul General Takahashi, in collaboration with Yale Ventures—Yale University’s innovation organization dedicated to accelerating technology commercialization and strengthening industry–academia partnerships—held the Industry Collaboration and Innovation Seminar in New Haven, Connecticut.

In his opening remarks, Consul General Takahashi expressed his strong expectation that the seminar would help foster a new hub of Japan–U.S. innovation emerging from Yale and the State of Connecticut, and contribute to the creation of the next stage of collaborative innovation.

The event welcomed approximately 50 participants, including representatives from Japanese companies operating in the New England region. Engaged discussions were held on advancing U.S.–Japan open innovation and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in commercialization and technology transfer.

The Consulate‑General of Japan in Boston, through J‑NEXUS: Japan–New England Nexus for Innovation launched earlier this year, will continue to enhance Japan–U.S. collaboration and act as a bridge linking Japan with New England’s growing innovation ecosystem.
