On Mon, March 9, 2026, Japanese national flag will be raised at Boston City Hall, to commemorate the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
The Flag Raising Ceremony will be held at Boston City Hall Plaza on March 9, at 2:00 PM, and is open to public. Walk-ins are also welcomed.

Location: City Hall Mezzanine, Boston, Massachusetts (1 City Hall Sq, Boston, MA 02201)
Please enter through the entrance by Government Center Station (off of Cambridge Street). Upon entering, you may be required to go through a brief security check before proceeding to the Mezzanine level, where the ceremony leading up to the flag-raising will take place.
