On December 2nd, Consul General Takahashi attended the “84th Pearl Harbor Attack Remembrance Ceremony” held at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island.

The Consul General expressed his sincere condolences to those who lost their lives in the attack on Pearl Harbor, as well as to all those who perished in the War. He stated that, eighty years after the end of the war, Japan and the United States have become deeply and firmly bound as allies. He also noted that at the recent Japan–U.S. summit meeting, Prime Minister Takaichi expressed her determination to elevate the Japan–U.S. Alliance, already the greatest alliance in the world, to even greater heights, together with President Trump.

He then expressed his appreciation to the U.S. Naval War College, which, over the many years since 1956, has supported the Japan–U.S. Alliance in the fields of education and human resources development. In addition, he affirmed that the Consulate-General will continue to deepen its cooperation with the U.S. Naval War College.
