Consul General Takahashi exchanges views with cultural and sister-city partners in the State of Maine (November 24, 2025)

On November 24th, Consul General Takahashi visited Portland, Maine, and exchanged views with members of the Maine-Aomori Sister-State Advisory Council (MASSAC), who visited Aomori Prefecture last month, as well as members of the “Horace Wilson Monument Committee,” which honors Horace Wilson—a native of Gorham, Maine who introduced baseball to Japan during the Meiji era.
Consul General Takahashi welcomed the active people-to-people and cultural exchanges between Japan and the State of Maine, and stated that the Consulate-General will continue to actively support the activities of both groups.
