● The Consulate-General of Japan in Boston will be closed for the year-end and New Year holidays from Saturday, December 27, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026.
All regular services, including consular operations, will be suspended during this period.
Normal operations will resume on Monday, January 5, 2026.

- Applications at the Consular Counter: by Thursday, December 18 (receive on Friday, December 26)
- Online Applications (eVISA): by Friday, December 12, 1:00 p.m. (approx.) (receive by Friday, December 26)
- Applications submitted after the above deadlines will be issued on or after January 5, 2026.
- Please note that a higher-than-usual volume of applications is expected immediately after the holidays, and processing times may be longer than usual.
