Consul General Takahashi exchanges views with Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Other State Officials (March 25, 2025)

On March 25th, Consul General Takahashi exchanged views with Governor Maura Healey at the Massachusetts State House. The meeting was also attended by Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll, Jeevan Ramapriya, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment, and Satoshi Miura, President of Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) New York.
Consul General Takahashi spoke about the rapid development of Japan-Massachusetts relations in recent years, particularly through startup collaboration in fields such as life sciences and biotechnology, and highlighted the strong potential for further expansion. He also shared his aspirations for this year, which marks the 35th anniversary of the Hokkaido-Massachusetts sister-state relationship and the upcoming Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Both sides agreed to work closely together to further strengthen relations, with a particular focus on the active collaboration among academic institutions, research institutions, and businesses.
