Announcement (New Information): Japanese Flag Raising at Boston City Hall on Feb. 24, 2025

On Mon, February 24, 2025, Japanese national flag will be raised at Boston City Hall, to commemorate the Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor, National Day of Japan (February 23). It is the first time that the Boston City Hall raises the Japanese national flag at its Plaza.
The Flag Raising Ceremony at Boston City Hall Plaza on February 24, at 12:00 PM is open to public and walk-ins are also welcomed.

Date & Time: Monday, February 24, 2025, from 12:00 to 12:15 p.m.
Location: City Hall Mezzanine, Boston, Massachusetts (1 City Hall Sq, Boston, MA 02201)
Please enter through the entrance by Government Center Station (off of Cambridge Street). Upon entering, you may be required to go through a brief security check before proceeding to the Mezzanine level, where the ceremony leading up to the flag-raising will take place.
