The Awarding Ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for Mr. Toru Oga, former executive chef of Oga’s Japanese Cuisine

On December 13th, Consul General Takahashi held the awarding ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for Mr. Toru Oga, former executive chef of Oga’s Japanese Cuisine at the official residence.
Chef Oga served as a chef at numerous Japanese restaurants in Massachusetts and other states after moving to the United States in the mid-1980s. In 2001, he opened Oga’s Japanese Cuisine in Natick, MA, and has made significant contributions to the promotion of Japanese cuisine and the training of young talent for over 30 years. Since 2022, Chef Oga has also served as a Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassador and further supported the promotion of Japanese culinary culture in the region. For those contribution, Mr. Oga was awarded the Foreign Minister’s commendation.
