Mr. Fernando Quezada awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays

Mr. Fernando Quezada, former co-president of Massachusetts Hokkaido Association and Executive Director of the Biotechnology Center of Excellence Corporation, was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays by the Government of Japan. The conferment ceremony took place on July 31st at the residence of the Consul-General. Over decades, Mr. Quezada has contributed to promoting sister-state relationship between Massachusetts and Hokkaido as well as fostering science and technology research exchanges between the two states, which includes receiving scientists from Hokkaido and joint projects to support science and technologies in Chile and other countries.
