Professor Brinton of Harvard awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon (PC: Marissa Fiorucci)

Dr. Mary Brinton, professor of sociology at Harvard University, was recognized for her many years’ contribution to promoting academic exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and the United States, and was presented with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon. The conferment ceremony and reception took place on September 26 at the Residence of Consul General.
