Visa Waiver Arrangements for Nationals of the Federative Republic of Brazil

The Government of Japan will commence the following visa waiver arrangements for nationals of the Federative Republic of Brazil from September 30, 2023.
1. Nationals of the Federative Republic of Brazil in possession of valid ordinary ICAO compliant IC passports may enter Japan without obtaining a visa, if the purpose of visit is Short-Term Stay for a period not exceeding 90 consecutive days.
2. The abovementioned visa waiver will not apply to nationals of the Federative Republic of Brazil who wish to enter Japan with the intention of seeking employment or exercising a profession or other occupation (including public entertainment and sport for remunerative purposes).
