New Year's message to the people of New England from SUZUKI Kotaro, the new Consul-General of Japan in Boston

Happy new year.
I am very grateful to the people in New England for their heartwarming welcome.
In my short time till now here, I have come to realize that the foundation for the long and close relationship between Japan and New England has been built upon the achievements and exchanges of the Japanese and American people that reside here, across diverse fields and sectors.
With the challenges of recent years subsiding, travel between Japan and the US has become much easier and we will be ready for increased exchanges between our two countries.
Our office is determined to make efforts to expand interactions between Japan and the US going forward.
Finally, I hope that, after leaving COVID behind, 2023 will be a prosperous year for you all.
