On November 22nd, 2021, at his residence, Consul-General Ohmori Setsuo presented the decoration of the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays to Mr. Glenn Alfred Pereira, the Chief of Administration of Chado Urasenke Tankokai Boston Association.
He was awarded this decoration for his outstanding contribution towards the promotion of Japanese culture through the instruction of Japanese tea ceremony in Boston for nearly 40 years.
