Reception for Japan-U.S. Youth Baseball Exchange Event Hosted by Funai Electric Company and the Red Sox Foundation (July 31st, 2015)
On July 31st, a reception for the 7th Japan-U.S. youth baseball exchange event hosted by Funai Electric Company and the Red Sox Foundation was held at the Consul General’s Official Residence. Following greetings from Consul General Himeno, Senior Vice President of the Red Sox, David Friedman, and Representative of Funai USA Inc. Hiroshi Shibata, the uniforms with names were given to the Japanese boys, their host families, Mr. Shibata, and Consul General Himeno by the Red Sox Foundation. The 12 Japanese boys and 2 trainers belonging to youth baseball teams in Kyoto and Chiba enjoyed the food and the conversation at the meaningful reception.
