Red Sox US-Japan Youth Baseball Exchange Takes Place at Fenway Park (August 2nd, 2015)
On August 2nd, Consul General Himeno attended the 7th Japan-U.S. youth baseball exchange event at Fenway Park hosted by Funai Electric Company and the Red Sox Foundation. It was also Maine Day at Fenway Park and the members had the opportunity to meet Maine Governor Paul R. LePage. During the exchange program from July 26th to August 4th, 12 Japanese boys and 2 trainers belonging to youth baseball teams in Kyoto and Chiba visited Boston. They enjoyed cultural exchange activities and a friendly match against a local youth baseball team.
