Maloney Interdistrict Magnet School's Japanese Language and Culture Program Celebrates 20 Years
On January 24th, 2014, the Japanese Language and Culture Program of Maloney Interdistrict Magnet School celebrated its 20th Anniversary in Waterbury CT. The school began the program in 1994. All students study Japanese language and culture as part of the program.
In the ceremony, Mrs. Donna Cullen, Principal, Ms. Jessica Haxhi, World Language Supervisor in the New Haven Public Schools, Ms. Mary Ann Marold, Education Liaison to Government, Business and the Community, and Consul Aniya gave speeches. Burlington Taiko performed Japanese drums.
