Consul General Muto Hosts Delegates to JET Alumni Association Regional Conference
On January 10th, 2014, a welcome reception was held for the JET Alumni Association at the Consul General’s official residence on the eve of JETAA’s Regional Conference from January 11th to 12th. Following the opening remarks of Consul General Muto, MIT Professor Ian Condry, Dr. Anne Nishimura Morse from the MFA, and current President of New England JETAA Brian Peckrill gave speeches about US-Japan cultural exchange through their personal experiences.

At the dinner buffet, attendees from every corner of the United States exchanged stories about their unique experiences living and teaching English in Japan, as well as the authentic Japanese food they missed. The event was a great networking opportunity for them to get ready for the JETAA Regional Conference held on Saturday the 11th.
