2013 JET Returnee Reception
On October 25, Consul General Muto hosted a Returnee Reception for participants of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program who had recently completed their stays in Japan. The reception was attended by members of the Japanese business community, exchange organizations, JET Program interviewers as well as members of the New England JET Alumni Association.
At the event, Mr. Bill Clifford, President and CEO of the World Affairs Councils of America and a JET Program alumnus, gave a talk on “citizen diplomacy,” encouraging the former JETs to continue to be involved in grass-roots international exchange.
