School Visit Program

The School Visit program is designed to introduce students to Japan and Japanese culture. Each presentation is about an hour long and includes a brief general introduction to Japan followed by an interactive lesson with activities based upon a specific topic. ***Now Taking Booking for 2008-2009*** (1) Japanese Greetings and Writing Systems Learn basic Japanese greetings and write your name in Japanese. (2) Japanese Food and Numbers Learn about traditional Japanese foods, count from 1 to 10 in Japanese and practice using chopsticks. (3) Traditional Japanese Games, Toys and Activities Learn about and play traditional Japanese games, toys and activities. (4) School Life in Japan Learn about school life in Japan. (5) Japanese Holidays and Festivals Learn about a seasonal holiday or festival and try a related game or activity. Presentations are FREE!! Other topics may be arranged by special request. Most materials will be provided, however educators may be asked to provide such things as paper, writing utensils and a blackboard or whiteboard.
