New Non-Stop Service between Boston and Tokyo

Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced that on April 22, 2012 JAL will inaugurate non-stop flights between Boston Logan International Airport and Tokyo’s Narita International Airport, code-sharing with American Airlines.
New England is the home of many of the world’s top educational and research institutions, as well as financial, life-sciences, high tech and environmental companies.  Boston is also a familiar and desired destination among Japanese people for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Red Sox, the Boston Marathon etc.
The new direct service will greatly facilitate travel between New England and Japan.  It is expected that this will spur a heightened level of exchange in the economic, tourist, cultural and academic fields, as well is in many other areas.  Passengers can also connect to 22 destinations in Asia via JAL’s Narita hub.
The Consulate General of Japan welcomes the non-stop service, and would like to thank all related parties for the great effort that they put into achieving making this long-standing wish of many people a reality.
